Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup Recipe (Vegan)

This is an easy recipe with very few ingredients. Because it’s made slowly in the crock pot it doesn’t require much effort. On top of all that its a great tasting low fat recipe that I use throughout the year.

This recipe is using the small 1.5 quart crock pot. Adjust you recipe to fit your crock pot. The formula I use is 1 cup of split peas per quart in your slow cooker.

  • 1 1/2 Cups Dried Split Peas
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion (Diced)
  • 2 Stalks Celery (Diced)
  • 1 Large Carrot (Diced)
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (Crushed)
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 1/4 Cups Water or Veggie Broth

Cook on High for 4-6 Hours

Stir well or blend in blender before Serving.
