Finally Received New Range

After our range went out on us February 12th, we finally received a new one on March 17th. Of course, this is just a handful of days before we move out west to Portland. We had put in our notice to vacate March 1st. I think the property owner was just getting the place ready to rent again once we leave.

Inga’s Daffodil

This is one of the daffodils in the bouquet of flowers I bought for Inga. She has to put up with me all of the time, so she deserves them.

The Cat Taking a Nap

On St. Patrick’s Day, we didn’t do much aside from packing, and making dinner. We were trying to be lazy, like the cat and rest up. Although it’s much easier to rest up when you can make a bed out of anything you come across like her.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

We did not attempt anything fancy like making corned beef from seitan. Maybe next year. This year we had boiled red potatoes, cabbage, and carrots. Add in a little bit of plant-based butter and you are set. Simple and delicious!

Arriving at the Owyhee River

The day after St. Patrick’s Day, we headed to Oregon to visit Snively Hot Springs, and the Owyhee Reservoir. It’s not too far of a drive outside of Boise. The area itself is great for photography. The rocky landscapes out here are colorful and amazing.

Owyhee River Watchable Wildlife Area

It’s nice to be in where you have no cell phone service. Less distractions, and more enjoyment of nature. This area is nice to visit in spring before it gets too warm in the summer.

Rocky Cliffs Near Owyhee River

As you look up towards the rocky cliffs above the Owyhee River, you can’t help but to be amazed. The array of colors in the rock formations vary from dark red all the way to ash gray. Similar to the Jordan Valley Area of Oregon.

Lost License Plate

I found someone’s lost Oregon license plate at Snively Hot Springs. The other one was laying a few feet away.

The Wild Owyhee River

Another shot of the wild Owyhee River. Snively Hot Springs is right behind me in this photo. More photos to come tomorrow. Have a great day, everyone!
